Remote sensing provides many cost-effective means of mapping features in developing countries, where existing map coverage is often limited and I.T. capacity may be rudimentary. Presentations are invited on geological remote sensing applications, focused on developing countries, for the following topics:

Conference announcementsThe International Disaster Reduction Conference IDRC 2007, Harbin•China is a follow-up conference of the IDRC Davos 2006 Conference, which has been organized at Davos, Switzerland from August 28th – September 1st, 2006.
The IDRC Harbin 2007 will take place from August 21st to August 25th, 2007 in the internationally known “ice city” of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province in north-eastern China, with a special focus on China and the South East Asia region.
